Jørgen Frøkiær from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital is the new chairman of the Danish Council for Independent Research | Medical Sciences. Jørgen Frøkiær has been a member of the council and its vice-chair since 1 January 2011.
A European research project with participants from 14 countries will now work to increase the understanding of autism. Aarhus University is the Danish partner in the three-year project, which has been awarded EUR 2.1 million in funding.
