Digital evaluation of the teaching

Get an overview of the purpose, framework, and practical process for evaluating teaching at Health. Step-by-step guide through approval, adaptation, and access to the evaluation report—from the start of the semester until the report is ready.

Purpose and framework

The purpose of teaching evaluation is to provide systematic insight into students' experiences and their assessment of teaching. The feedback is used as an important basis for planning the further development of courses and selecting the most appropriate teaching methods, activities, and content that support student learning.

Step 1: Approval and publication of evaluation setup

At the start of the semester

You will receive an email initiating the process around September 1–15 (fall courses) or February 1–15 (spring courses).

As the course administrator, you must:

  • assign colleagues if help is needed to add additional questions or change evaluation dates.
  • assign relevant colleagues if others need access to the evaluation report.
  • approve and publish the evaluation.

Step 2: Customizing the evaluation setup

24 hours after publication

Once the evaluation setup has been approved and published, you can make adjustments 24 hours later.

You can:

  • add up to 10 additional questions
  • change the evaluation dates if you do not want the default dates

If you do not make any changes, the evaluation will be carried out automatically using the standard questions asked in all teaching evaluations at Health and the standard dates:

  • Fall courses: December 6–12
  • Spring courses: May 20–27

Step 3: Evaluation report

The day after the last evaluation date

Course coordinators and colleagues who were assigned in step 1 will have access to the evaluation report the day after the last evaluation date.

The report is updated overnight.

Example: If the last evaluation date is December 12, you, as the course administrator, can access the report on December 13.
