Research prizes & honours

In collaboration with the department management, the faculty secretariat identifies candidates for research awards and honours:

1. As a general rule, Heads of Department or Vice Heads of Department for Research receive an email from the faculty secretariat inviting them to identify candidates and submit nominations to the designated contact person (e.g. ha@au.dk).
2. Once the faculty secretariat has received the nominations, the Dean’s Office selects the can-didates to be nominated.
3. The faculty secretariat then supports the nomination process by quality assuring the nomina-tion materials in collaboration with the nominator and the candidate and is responsible for the final submission.

1. Priority Awards and Honors

Priority research awards and honours are those for which the faculty works systematically and which will always be given priority. The category includes awards conferred by the Faculty of Health Sci-ences and Aarhus University, as well as a number of selected national awards. Expected internal deadlines are indicated in parentheses.

2. Other Important Awards and Honours

The Dean’s Office may, on its own initiative or following suggestions from the departments, invite nominations for other important awards and honours. Examples include the Erhoff Awards, the Hage-dorn Prize, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Prize for Biomedicine (formerly the Novo Nordisk Prize).
