PhD Administration
The PhD Administration at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences is responsible for the administration of the respective graduate schools at the faculties. A total of approx. 1,400 PhD students and approx. 100 research year students.
The unit consists of two departments.
Department of PhD Administration at the Faculty of Health Sciences, and
Department of PhD Administration at Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences.
The administrative unit undertakes administrative tasks in connection with e.g. job advertisements, enrolments, fellowship/scholarship awards, HR and personnel administration, assessments, statistics and doctoral dissertations etc.
In addition, the PhD and Talent Administration is also responsible for the administration and holding of approx. 150 PhD courses annually as well as continuing education courses for medical doctors.
There are approx. 30 employees in the unit.

The PhD administrators undertake tasks in connection with job advertisements, enrolments, fellowship/scholarship awards, staff and personal administration and assessments throughout the PhD degree programme.

Higher Doctoral Dissertations
The higher doctoral degree is the highest academic degree that can be awarded at a Danish university on the basis of a dissertation which is defended at a public, oral defence. The doctoral degree is awarded as the university’s acknowledgement of the author’s considerable scientific insight and maturity, and on the basis that the dissertation has contributed substantially to the advancement of science.
The PhD Administration accepts higher doctoral dissertations and undertakes the consideration of the assessment process from the Faculties of Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences and Health.
