Information about exam planning at Health. Get an overview of exam periods, the location of different types of exams, and the general principles underlying the planning.

When are exams held, and how are they scheduled?

Exams are scheduled within fixed semesters, taking into account both preparation time and workload for students.

Semesters and exam periods

Spring semester: weeks 5–21

  • Regular exam period: until July 1 

  • Re-examination: generally in August

Fall semester: weeks 35–50

  • Regular exam period: until February 1 

  • Re-exams: generally in January, February, and March

Location of examination forms

On-site testing: generally from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Homework assignments: can be completed over a weekend

Oral exams: generally from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

May also be held in the evenings and on Saturdays.

General principles for planning examinations

  • Exams in the same semester are scheduled as far apart as possible
  • The grading period is generally two weeks (including two weekends)
  • Regular exams are scheduled as late as possible after the end of the teaching period to ensure sufficient preparation time.
  • Resits are scheduled as late as possible after the regular exam.
  • Resits are held, as far as possible, on days when the registered students have no other exams or classes.
