After three years of drought, the faculty party was finally back, and almost 500 happy Health staff members made the evening one to remember. Here are all the photos from the party and the red carpet.
The sun was shining, spirits were high, and the red carpet had been rolled out when the faculty held its celebration at Centralværkstedet on Friday 19 August. Here comes the biggest photo report to date.
148 staff members from Biomedicine, 57 from the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, 27 from Public Health, 142 from Clinical Medicine, 19 from the Department for Forensic Medicine and 66 employees from the administrative centre and the Dean’s Office put on their glad rags and partied long into the night.
In very correct British English, the restaurant manager promised veal as the main course as he presented the three courses of the evening. But this was a mistake, because in fact chicken was on the menu. The confusion triggered a one-hour extra free bar at the house’s expense.
The evening funkiest shoes were on the feet of Professor Thomas Juhl Corydon from the Department of Biomedicine.
“We work hard every day to create even better research, education and administration. But tonight, we’re just going to have fun,” said Anne-Mette Hvas in her welcome speech – one of several remarks that were met with cheers and applause.
True to tradition, Jungle Boogie Band accompanied the singing and dancing on the red carpet, during the dinner and alongside the packed dance floor.
