Researcher honored for innovation and efforts against social inequality in cancer research

Postdoc Cathrine Fonnesbech Hjorth receives the Schroll Prize for Excellence by the Danish Epidemiological Society. The prestigious award recognizes Cathrine Fonnesbech Hjorth’s outstanding contributions to epidemiological research at an early stage of her career.

The evaluation committee praised Cathrine Fonnesbech Hjorth's significant impact in the fields of cancer and social epidemiology, particularly her work on measuring socioeconomic variables in health research.

The committee further highlighted the impact Cathrine Fonnesbech Hjorth's dedication and innovative approach have made on Danish epidemiological research.
