Join the 6th annual Inflammation Network Day
On Thursday, 12 March, The Inflammation Network at Health invites you to an interdisciplinary day featuring leading international presentations and discussions on the latest research into inflammation and inflammation-related diseases. Read more about the event here.
This year’s Inflammation Network Day once again offers an interdisciplinary afternoon bridging basic and clinical research in inflammation, immunodeficiencies, autoimmunity, and organ-specific inflammatory diseases.
Register via Health’s website no later than 20 February 2026.
The annual meeting will be opened by Dean Anne-Mette Hvas, followed by a welcome address by the network chair, Professor Trine Mogensen. The event then continues with three thematic sessions featuring invited keynote speakers, flash talks by junior researchers, and group discussions.
On the day, you can attend presentations including:
- Affinity born: The reach of antibody somatic hypermutation by Dr Duane Wesemann, Harvard Medical School & Brigham and Women's Hospital
- The Danish Blood Donor Study – a biobank with 3 million samples by Clinical Professor and Chair Christian Erikstrup, Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University
- Inflammation in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases: translation is key by Professor Elisabeth Brouwer, University of Groningen
- Cognitive dysfunction in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease by Clinical Professor Karen Louise Thomsen, Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University
- From Pandora to Pathogens: Translating Veterinary Immunology by Dr Xaquin Castro Dopico, Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Aarhus University & Karolinska Institutet
6th Inflammation Network Day:
Date: Thursday, 12 March 2026, 12:30–18:00
Registration and coffee from 12:30 – scientific programme begins at 13:00

Share your research
As in previous years, the annual meeting includes a series of flash talks selected from submitted abstracts. The network therefore encourages researchers and PhD students to submit abstracts and contribute their latest findings.
The event includes breaks with coffee, cake, and fruit, and concludes with a reception - offering a great opportunity to strengthen collaborations and form new connections across disciplines.
All those interested in inflammation and diseases related to infection, autoimmunity, and immune regulation are welcome to attend.
