The faculty party: They’re coming – are you?

Would you like to see who else is coming before you sign up? Here is a sneak peek at the guest list for the faculty party on Friday 21 August 2026. There is room for you too – but only if you are quick.

Last year’s party had a 1980s theme. This year, the faculty party is celebrating the 1990s. You are welcome to dress up but are not required. Don’t forget to sign up no later than 16 August. Photo: Simon Fischel, AU Health Sciences

The Faculty of Health Sciences is celebrating its 90th anniversary, so we are pulling out all the stops for the faculty party at DGI Huset on Friday 21 August 2026 from 17:00.

The party will have a 1990s theme, and you are very welcome to dress up accordingly.

You can look forward to a delicious party buffet, unlimited beer, wine and water, red-carpet photography, music from both a live band and a DJ – including plenty of hits from the 1990s – and, of course, dancing until 00:30. Not to mention absolutely fantastic company.

Tickets cost DKK 195 and must be purchased through Eventværk. But be quick: the booking deadline is Sunday 16 August 2026.

Who is coming to this year’s faculty party?

  • You are very likely to run into a colleague from the Department of Biomedicine, as just under one-third of the guests are from the department.
  • The faculty’s largest department, the Department of Clinical Medicine, is currently represented by 100 guests.
  • One in seven guests is from either the Department of Public Health or the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, so hurry and secure your name on their dance cards.
  • You may be wondering whether there will be more academic staff or technical and administrative staff. Academic staff are the clear winners, accounting for 84% of the guests at DGI Huset.
  • Within the Health Sciences Administrative Centre, it is particularly The Faculty Secretariat, Studies Administration and PhD and Talent Administration that have been polishing their dancing shoes. Together, they account for almost two-thirds of the technical and administrative staff attending the party.
