Huge demand for study places at Health once again

A total of 894 future students have accepted a place on one of the six Bachelor's degree programmes at Health. This means that all degree programmes will be able to report full enrolment once again this year, including the brand new professional Bachelor's degree programme in Clinical Dental Technique.

The annual wait for the arrival of the electronic postman is over, and young people across Denmark now know whether they have been admitted to the degree programme of their dreams. Many of the future students have kept their fingers crossed for good news from Health. A total of 4,968 young people applied for admission to a Bachelor’s programme at Health, 965 were offered a place and 894 of them have accepted. There will therefore be no empty chairs at the faculty's Bachelor’s programmes when the academic year begins.

Impressive number of applicants to the new professional Bachelor's degree in Clinical Dental Technique

This year, 188 hopeful applicants applied to the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health’s new programme in clinical dental technique. As a result, all 25 student places have been filled, which left Department Head Siri Beier Jensen feeling very pleased:

"It's really great that the programme in clinical dental technique has been so well received by students. There’s big demand for clinical dental technicians who can help citizens who need technological dental replacements and oral function rehabilitation, so we’re of course incredibly pleased that the programme is full,” she says.

The vice-dean for education at Health, Lise Wogensen Bach, is also very happy with this year's intake:

"We once again had a large and qualified pool of applicants. It’s great that so many young people want to study and that so many choose Aarhus University. All student places have been filled across the faculty, and we’re naturally very proud of that and we look forward to welcoming the many new students," she says.
