Neuroscience Day 2024 - When Neuroscience meet Engineering and Computer Science

What happens when you merge neuroscience, engineering, and computer science?

Info about event

Time

Monday 10 June 2024,  at 12:00 - 17:00

Location

The Lakeside Lecture Theatres, Aarhus University

The answer to this will be the scope of this year’s Neuroscience Day 2024, where we invite you to take a look into this rapidly developing field of cutting-edge technologies to understand, manipulate, and potentially treat the brain and the nervous system.

Deep brain stimulators, brain-computer interfaces, and neuroprosthetics are new emerging concepts that are expected to revolutionize research in neurological diseases. Come judge for yourself.

Share your research:

The Neuroscience Day will be full of flash talks. We encourage you to present your research, by submitting an abstract.

NeuroCampus Aarhus welcomes participants and abstracts from ALL AREAS related to neuroscience.

NSD2024 Prizes:

  • 2024 Marco Capogna Young scientist prize
  • Best Poster Prize
  • Best Flash Talk

Among the key speakers is this year’s Lundbeck Foundation Brain Prize Winner, Professor Terrence Sejnowski from the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences, USA, who is considered a pioneer in the field of computational neuroscience.

By using sophisticated electrical and chemical monitoring techniques and computer simulations, Terrence Sejnowski hopes to gain new knowledge of how the human brain is capable of learning and storing memories.

Join Terrence as he shares his expert insights in this field, broadcasting live from California
