As a general rule, you do not need to make any manual changes.

  • Your email signature and your Pure profile will generally not require any changes.
  • The logo in document templates will be updated automatically from “Health” to “Health Sciences”.
  • On websites, the faculty’s name will be changed from “Faculty of Health” to “Faculty of Health Sciences”.

At the request of the faculty management team, the senior management team at Aarhus University has approved that Health will add “Sciences” to its name and will therefore formally be called Faculty of Health Sciences.

The reason for the change is that the name Faculty of Health Sciences is both more precise and more professionally descriptive. It also aligns better with the names of the university’s other faculties.

The senior management team has also approved that the faculty may use the designation “Det Sundhedsvidenskabelige Fakultet” when Danish terminology is the most natural choice, and that the Faculty of Health Sciences may henceforth use the terms ‘Health’ and ‘SUND’. The latter may be used when a shortened form of ‘Det Sundhedsvidenskabelige Fakultet’ is required.

The change takes effect immediately.
