The new election period for AU’s occupational health and safety organisation began on 1 March. 194 employees have been elected or re-elected as occupational health and safety representatives. They will now join occupational health and safety groups and committees, where they will collaborate with local managers to continue the task of maintaining a healthy and safe work environment at AU – for the benefit of us all.
Including managers, the health and safety organisation now boasts over 350 members. In addition to preventing and managing health and safety issues in individual units, the occupational health and safety organisation plays a central role in conducting the workplace assessment (WPA) every three years – next scheduled for 2025.
