The Dean's summer greeting: How the faculty supports your career development
Health has launched a range of specific initiatives to support the career paths of its staff, with a particular focus on early-career researchers. Dean Anne-Mette Hvas discusses this in her summer greeting, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive environment for career development.
Career development is not a straight path, but a journey filled with challenges and opportunities. This is the message from Dean Anne-Mette Hvas in her summer greeting to the staff at Health.
“Our work life is often unpredictable and filled with detours, bumps, and hills. And sometimes you might lose direction,” she says in her greeting.
Therefore, the faculty has launched seven specific initiatives aimed at creating a supportive environment for career development, especially focusing on early-career researchers.
One of the new initiatives is the appointment of career ambassadors in all five departments. Twelve staff members are now ready to provide researchers with sparring, advice, and guidance on their career paths.
“Whether you plan to stay at the university for a short or long time, the conversation about your career development is important. Therefore, we will ensure that it is prioritized,” says Anne-Mette Hvas.
