The Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) invites you to join the upcoming workshop Bridging Knowledge: The Dynamics of Interdisciplinarity, co-organised by AIAS-AUFF Fellow Bruna Neves de Freitas (Department of Odontology) and AIAS Associate Mette Terp Høybye (Department of Clinical Medicine).
The one-day event brings together researchers from across disciplines and faculties to reflect on the opportunities, challenges and practices of interdisciplinary collaboration in research, exploring how researchers can create and sustain meaningful interdisciplinary connections — from developing initial ideas and identifying shared challenges to assembling complementary expertise and designing integrated research projects.
Throughout the day, speakers and panel discussions will address different stages of interdisciplinary collaboration, including the foundations of collaboration, integrating complexity in research design, maintaining long-term collaborations and communicating research beyond academia. The programme also includes time for networking, discussion and exchange across fields.
The workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with colleagues from different disciplines and reflect collectively on how interdisciplinary research can be strengthened in practice.
