Attend the annual meeting of The Food and Nutrition Network

Researchers, students and others with an interest in the importance of diet for health and disease now have the opportunity to explore the latest research. The Food and Nutrition Network at Health invites you to its 6th Annual Meeting on 28 April.

The Annual Meeting of The Food and Nutrition Network brings together researchers from a wide range of disciplines for joint discussions on how targeted nutrition can prevent and reduce disease.

The network brings together researchers working on the relationship between diet and, among other conditions, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and loss of muscle mass.

The annual meeting provides insights into the latest knowledge in the field and creates a framework for engaging discussions and new interdisciplinary collaborations.

This year’s keynote lectures are:

  • ‘How Women’s Health Is Shaped by What They Eat: Insights from the UK Women’s Cohort Study’ by Professor Janet Cade, University of Leeds, UK.
  • ‘Mechanisms of Iron Absorption: From Homeostasis to Pathology’ by Professor Elizabeta Nemeth, David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA, USA.

The programme also features presentations of the latest research in food and nutrition from a health and disease perspective, flash talks, sandwiches, and ample opportunity to meet colleagues and expand your research network.
