"In my research, I focus on the efficacious and safe integration of new technology to improve the diagnosis and treatment of dental and oral diseases," says Ruben Pauwels.

His interdisciplinary approach has gained international attention and holds the potential to significantly impact the future of dental care. According to Pauwels, dentists can achieve more precise results by incorporating artificial intelligence in diagnostics, leading to earlier detection of diseases and more targeted treatment strategies.

“it's an incredible honor to receive the Bagger-Sørensen Ung Forskerprisen. This award not only recognizes the work we have done but also inspires future innovations and collaborations in our field. I'm deeply grateful for the support of my colleagues, who have been integral to this achievement, and I look forward to continuing our research with even greater passion and commitment, he says."

The Bagger-Sørensen Foundation's Young Researcher Award is given to young researchers who have distinguished themselves through independent research of exceptional quality.
